This easy crochet hat pattern is written for all sizes: preemie, baby, toddler, child & adult. This crochet beanie pattern is free and is an easy peasy crochet hat pattern for beginners.
I was very careful to choose worsted weight yarns that were very similar in size for my samples because I wanted my measurements to be as accurate and consistent as possible. Please check your gauge before starting your own hat.

- you are crocheting in the round
- hat is worked from the top down
- the ch at the beginning of each round never counts as your first stitch
- you can make any size hat longer or shorter by repeating or eliminating the second to last row
- some of my sizes have a hat height that is shorter than the size chart recommends. I felt that some of the hats ended up being too tall. I based my opinion on my experience measuring hats for myself, my kids and my Etsy Shop customers. You can simply add a few more rounds of dc if you want your hat to be taller.
