I wanted to make something for Christmas in July so I designed this adorable Penguin in a Santa Hat blanket. If you don’t want to limit the blanket to Christmas, just change the color of the hat from red to a winter color like a pretty shade of dark blue.

- Penguin Christmas Pixel Graph
- You can choose to follow the pixel graph or the written instruction (right-handed or left-handed).
- Crochet the pixel graph using the corner-to-corner (c2c) technique. Use the traditional method of making three double crochets for each square. I chained 6 to start each new row and I chained 3 at the beginning of each square.

Attach your white yarn to one of the corners.
Round 1: In each corner you will work a (sc-ch 1-sc) and along the edge you will sc twice in each of the pixel squares
Round 2: ch 2 and in each corner you will work a (dc-ch 1-dc) and along the edge you will dc once in each sc from round 1
Round 3: ch 2 and in each corner you will work a (dc-ch 1-dc) and along the edge you will dc once in each dc from round 2
Round 4: ch 1 and in each corner you will work a (sc-ch 1-sc) and along the edge you will sc once in each dc from round 3
Fasten off and weave in all of your ends.
